Photosynthesis is the process by which a green leaf uses light energy to make sugars from water and carbon dioxide. Light provides the energy, while water and carbon dioxide provide the matter from which new substances are assembled. Light itself is not turned into sugar; some of its energy is stored in sugar as chemical energy.
Water absorbed by the roots travels to the leaves. Carbon dioxide enters from the air through small openings called stomata. In the leaf’s green tissues, chlorophyll absorbs light. Chlorophyll is a pigment, a substance that absorbs light. It absorbs strongly in the red and blue parts of visible light and reflects more green, which helps explain why many leaves appear green.
The absorbed light supports chemical reactions. During oxygen-producing photosynthesis, water molecules are split, providing electrons for the reactions. Oxygen is released as a by-product, and it comes from water. Meanwhile, carbon from carbon dioxide becomes part of carbohydrates, including the sugars the plant makes.
Sugars support the plant and other organisms. The plant can use sugars in respiration to release usable energy, store them for later, or use their carbon to build stems, roots and leaves as it grows. Herbivores obtain organic material by eating plants, and predators obtain it through the animals they eat. Photosynthesis therefore links light, water and carbon dioxide to plant growth and food webs: sugars carry stored energy and building material onward, while oxygen is released from water.

The result is saved as a study guide that can include key ideas, recall questions and flashcards; audio is generated later as an option for reviewing away from the screen. Material and results are linked to the account and private by default. Provider-costing operations require authentication, and published limits control document size, file count, audio duration and monthly use. SintetizAI is not a general web search engine, does not replace the original source and does not currently offer an anonymous API or general-purpose API keys. For authorized integrations, use the developer documentation, OpenAPI contract, JSON error model and API version header. The public documentation names supported routes, required inputs and recovery steps for 4xx and 5xx responses. Agents should use documented operations, send API version 1 and treat rate-limit headers as instructions to pace requests.
